Rosa-Leigh is a nice, talented girl, whose voice makes her unique, not her body. Whereas, artists in many other videos are provocative, sexualised, and adhere to the male gaze, giving themselves an audience by dressing in minimal clothing and dancing wildly. In a world where girls are seen in a more sexualised way, Rosa-Leigh is a positive role model, reflecting that not all teenagers are 'wild child’s’ and have sensible careers and can be passionate about the things they love. Females need a role model to look up to, as lots of celebrities are in the media for the wrong reason, and behave badly in their music videos, just so it catches people's attention. Rosa-Leigh will be different and more like the artists Lana Del Rey and Ellie Goulding, as they seen as strong female artists that don't appeal to their audience for minimal clothes and wild dancing.
The two groups we are appealing to are the Indie Scenesters and the Young Alts. Because we are targeting our video at these tribes, means they will be able to relate to her music and her appearance, as Rosa-Leigh adopts a fashion like the ones they follow. Her almost vintage look, love of jeans and jumpers and shopping in the same shops they do to buy clothes. The way the tribes react to the video will define how people look at them, as if they don't like the vintage, home-made, natural aspects then they can be seen as uncaring about the world and the environment, spreading negativity about them and not adhering to the stereotypes of their tribe; possible puttingpressure on them to comply to the things they are supposed to like, such as Vintage fashion.
